Initial & Recurrent Flight Training in Pressurized Single & Multi-Engine Propeller Aircraft Proficiency/Mentoring in TurboJet
Rick Tutt started flight training in late 1987 at a local flight school at Kalispell, Montana. After earning his pilot & flight instructor certificates, he worked as an instructor pilot for their flight school then a line pilot for their air charter operation. Later, Rick became responsible for marketing as well as flying scenic tours inside Glacier National Park and the surrounding mountainous/wilderness areas. Rick next flew tourists & gear loads in & out of the back country air strips. While in Montana, he has trained pilots from all over the world in mountain flying techniques giving them the opportunity to enjoy the wilderness airstrips of the Pacific Northwest.
In 1990, Rick moved to Stockton, California where he began offering primary & advanced flight training in addition to providing pilot services and aircraft management. In 1996, he started an air charter service at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport. In addition to his other work, for eighteen years, Rick was an FAA Safety Team Representative; Oakland Flight Standards District Office. He has conducted more than sixty aviation safety seminars during that time reaching hundreds of pilots in the immediate community and surrounding areas.
In June 2001, Rick helped co-found the Stockton Airport Pilots Association; a group dedicated to promoting and preserving general aviation in the local community. For eight years Rick served at Stockton Metropolitan Airport on the San Joaquin County Airport Advisory Committee for County District 1 and Chairman for four years.
In early 2000, he began providing initial & recurrent flight training courses in pressurized aircraft. Rick specializes in the Piper Malibu/Mirage/Matrix/Meridian/JetPROP series, the Piper Navajo series, the Beech Baron series, the Cessna 200, 300 & 400 series and the Cessna Caravan aircraft. Rick is a staff instructor with the Malibu/Mirage Safety & Training Foundation along with being a donor to that group. Rick has accumulated over 21,000 flight hours in a variety of single & multi-engine propeller-driven as well as proficiency/mentor services in the Cessna Citation Mustang turbojet aircraft.
Up until recently, Rick was Director & Chief Pilot for a Corporate Flight Department in the Greater San Francisco East Bay Area providing corporate pilot and aircraft management services.
